106 figures from international organizations and 31 governments gathered together at the ‘APG (Asia Pacific Group) Workshop on the Revised Assessment Methodology and National Risk Assessment’, an event hosted by KoFIU. For the next few days, participants will try to find measures to avert money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of proliferation through series of group discussions.
“Money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of proliferation are becoming more complex and global in nature” FSC Chairman Shin Je-yoon said during the opening speech, “Thus, they demand a collective solution.” He also mentioned that he has high expectation and hope that this workshop will come up with a global solution to the problems.
