Korea will share its Corporate Credit Rationing System(CCRS) know-hows and dispatch experts from Korea Credit Guarantee Fund to Myanmar to support successful implementation of credit guarantee and rating scheme.
Financial Services Commission Chairman Shin Je-Yoon visited Myanmar from June 2 to 4 to discuss bilateral financial cooperation and to participate in Korea-Myanmar Financial Forum which took place on the last day of the visit.
In his meeting with Deputy Director General of Myanmar Finance Ministry, Minister of Construction, and Governor of Myanmar Central Bank the two countries shared various ideas on opening up Myanmar’s markets to foreign banks and discussed on ways to introduce Korea’s know-hows on housing finance, project financing, and etc.
As a sideline event during the visit, Chairman Shin paid a visit to a memorial monument to the victims of a North Korean commando attack in Yangon, Myanmar. 21 victims died and nearly 50 were wounded by the North Korean attack in October 1983.
