Shop online without accredited certificate from June



The FSC and FSS will revise the ‘Detailed Enforcement Rules of Regulation on Supervision of Electronic Financial Transactions Act’ to enable consumers to shop online without accredited certificate when they make payments by debit and credit cards starting from June, 2014. However, accredited certificate will still be mandatory for online money transfers for payments worth more than KRW 300,000 since online money transfers involve high risks including financial fraud and electronic payment system error.
