Maritime Finance Center to be established



Export-Import Bank of Korea (Eximbank), Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-Sure), Korea Development Bank (KDB) will transfer departments and approximately 100 employees to Busan to create ‘Maritime Finance Center (tentatively names)’ to provide one-stop financial services including shipping finance.

* Eximbank: 21 employees, 4 teams; K-Sure: 24 employees, 2 teams; KDB: 6 employees, 1 team; KoFC: 5 employees, 1 team

About 1.8 trln won will be invested in the Eximbank while K-Sure will receive 480 bln won of investment by 2017. Large-scale investments are expected to improve and expand financial assistance for shipping finance and offshore plant business by 4~5 trln won during the next 5 years.
